COLLEGEVILLE -- St. John's was in the spotlight all week with SportsCenter in town, but the Johnnies fell to the rival St. Thomas Tommies 35-14 on Saturday.

Over 17,000 fans were in attendance to see the 84th meeting between the two teams.

The game was scoreless until St. Thomas running back Jordan Roberts ran the ball in for a five-yard touchdown to give the Tommies a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter.

St. John's Sam Sura scored to tie the game late in the second quarter, the first of two touchdowns in the game for the senior running back.

But Sura's counterpart, Jordan Roberts, would score three more touchdowns in the second half to go along with 232 yards rushing en route to the Tommies victory.

With the loss, the Johnnies fall to 3-1 on the season. St. John's will travel to St. Paul to take on Hamline next weekend.
