Yankees, Tanaka Top Twins 7-4
The Twins lost 7-4 at home to the New York Yankees Thursday night. Masahiro Tanaka threw 7 innings with 9 hits and 4 earned runs allowed to get the win for the Yankees and he improves to 12-3. Phil Hughes allowed 8 hits and 7 earned runs in 6 1/3 innings to take the loss for the Twins. Carlos Beltran hit a 3-run homerun in the Yankees' 4-run 5th inning.
The Twins had 2 hits and 1 runs scored from both Brian Dozier and Sam Fuld. Eduardo Escobar, Chris Parmelee and Kurt Suzuki each had 1 hit and 1 RBI for the Twins.
