The Minnesota Timberwolves won their third straight game Sunday in Detroit, posting a 112-101 win over the Pistons. The Wolves are now 11-40 after the win.

Nikola Pekovic had his best game since returning from a lengthy absence due to injury with 29 points, including an 11-12 night from the free throw line. Kevin Martin added 24 points for Minnesota in the win.

Ricky Rubio did not play for the Wolves as coach Flip Saunders gave him a night off to rest his previously-injured ankle. Rubio is expected back Monday night when the Wolves host the Atlanta Hawks at Target Center (7 PM, WJON).
