The Minnesota Timberwolves took another large step backward in their quest for a playoff spot with a 105-93 loss at Charlotte Friday night. Former Timberwolf Al Jefferson dominated the Wolves in the paint, scoring 26 points and securing 16 rebounds.

Timberwolves starters combined to shoot 21-53 (39%) and 43% in total as a team. Kevin Martin led Minnesota in scoring with 19 points, and Kevin Love added 18.

The Wolves fall to 32-32 on the season and are 5.5 games behind Memphis for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
