The Memphis Grizzlies topped the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-98 at the FedEx Forum. The Wolves begin the season with an 0-1 record.

Minnesota jumped out to a 20-3 lead in the first quarter, but quickly cooled off. However, the Wolves still held a nine point lead at the half. The Timberwolves were outscored 26-16 in the third quarter.

The Wolves led 93-92 with 1:38 left on the clock but were outscored 10-5 down the stretch, including a pair of missed free throws by Andrew Wiggins.

Wiggins led Minnesota with 25 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 in the loss. Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 24 points.

The Wolves play at Sacramento on AM 1240 WJON Saturday night, with tip-off scheduled for 9:30.
