Wolves Drop Preseason Finale On Buzzer Beater

The Minnesota Timberwolves lost 99-98 on a buzzer beating three pointer by the Pistons' Josh Smith Thursday night in Detroit in their final preseason game.

The Wolves were led in scoring by Kevin Love with 19 points on 7-16 shooting, and Ricky Rubio scored 18 points for Minnesota in the loss.

The Timberwolves open the regular season Wednesday night at home against the Orlando Magic.
