Wild Top Chicago For 4th Straight Win
The Minnesota Wild downed Chicago 3-0 Tuesday night to earn their 4th straight win. Minnesota scored 2 first period goals and added 1 in the 2nd period. Mikko Koivu and Jason Zucker each scored a goal in the first period and Mikael Granlund scored in the 2nd period for Minnesota.
Devin Dubnyk had 24 saves to earn the shutout in net as Minnesota out-shot Chicago 43-24. The Wild improve to 24-20-6 and now have 54 points. The Wild are tied for 10th place in the Western Conference but remain 5 points out of the final playoff spots in the West. Minnesota will host Colorado Saturday night at 7pm, pregame on WJON at 6:45.
The Wild may play the rest of the season without left wing Matt Cooke. Cooke has what the Wild are calling a lower body injury.
