The Minnesota Wild’s midseason slump continued Sunday night in a 4-1 loss to the Blackhawks in Chicago. The Wild, who have lost 11 of their last 13 games, are now 18-18-5 on the season.

The Blackhawks scored a pair of goals in the first period against Niklas Backstrom, with Marian Hossa scoring his ninth of the season at 4:17, and Bryan Bickell scoring his ninth at 7:53.

Chicago made it 4-0 after two periods when Brad Richards scored at 11:08 of the second and Johnny Oduya scoring just over seven minutes later.

Matt Cooke scored the Wild’s lone goal at 15:08 of the third period, his third of the season. The Wild outshot Chicago 37-35 in the loss.

The Wild are now seven points out of a playoff spot with 41 games remaining in the season.
