Wild Sign Coveted College Defenseman

The Minnesota Wild signed defenseman Christian Folin of UMass-Lowell to a two year, entry level contract.

Folin, a 6'3" defenseman from Sweden, is 23 years old and just finished his sophomore season. He scored 41 points in 79 games in his career with the River Hawks.

Folin is not eligible for postseason play as he was acquired after the deadline to sign free agents for the playoffs.
