The Minnesota Wild scored first in Chicago Tuesday but could not survive a barrage of Blackhawk goals late in the first period.

The Blackhawks scored four goals in just over five minutes of play in the first period to pace a 5-3 win over Minnesota Tuesday night. Chicago improved to 20-0-3 with the win.

Devin Setoguchi got the Wild on the board first when he jammed home a rebound at 8:22 of the first period. However, Chicago got four quick goals beginning at 13:02 and ending at 18:45 for a 4-1 lead after two periods.

After neither team scored in the second period, the Wild mounted a brief comeback at the beginning of the third. Ryan Suter converted on a power play at 3:02 to make the score 4-2, then Kyle Brodziak scored his third of the season at 10:32 to make it a one goal game.

However, just over a minute later Patrick Kane scored his twelfth goal of the season to put the Wild away for good.
