ST. LOUIS, MO -- The Minnesota Wild erased an early two-goal deficit, but lost 3-2 in overtime to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.

The Blues jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first nine minutes of the game, but goals by Jason Zucker and Erik Haula tied the score before the end of the first period.

Neither team was able to score for the rest of regulation. The Blues' David Backes scored four-and-a-half minutes into the overtime period to beat Minnesota.

With the loss, Minnesota falls to 7-2-2 on the season. The Wild will have a few days off before hosting the Nashville Predators on Thursday.
