EDEN PRAIRIE -- The Minnesota Vikings are expected to sign former Arizona Cardinals receiver and Minnesota native Michael Floyd to a contract.

Reports says the deal is for one-year worth about $1.5-million with incentives, however an official announcement by the team has yet to be made.

Floyd played for the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots after being cut by the Cardinals late last season due to his arrest for drunk driving.

His best year came in 2013 when he caught 65 passes for over 1,000 yard and five touchdowns, which the Vikings hope he can duplicate this years.

Floyd was a prep star in Minnesota, giving him the opportunity to get his life back on track in a familiar place.
