The Vikings have officially signed free agent inside linebacker Desmond Bishop Thursday.  Bishop gets a 1-year contract worth $1.5 Million with incentives that could pay him $2 Million this season.  To make room for Bishop the Vikings released veteran linebacker Stanford Keglar.

Bishop didn't play in 2012 due to a torn hamstring muscle.  He had 115 combined tackles in 13 games playing with the Green Bay Packers in 2011.  Bishop is expected to add depth to the middle linebacker position for the Vikings.  He'll compete with Erin Henderson for the starting middle linebacker job.
