EDEN PRAIRIE - The Minnesota Vikings will be without veteran safety Harrison Smith will Sunday against Jacksonville due to a severely sprained ankle.

Smith missed all three days of practice this week and could be out longer. Smith hurt his left ankle in the loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Coach Mike Zimmer says Anthony Harris will likely start in place of Smith.

Other Vikings players expected to miss this weekends game is starting center Joe Berger because of a concussion. Punt returner Marcus Sherels is listed as questionable with a rib injury.
