Viking quarterback Brett Favre had an MRI on his sprained right shoulder Monday and the MRI confirmed that Favre's injury is just a sprain.

Minnesota interim head coach Leslie Frazier says Favre will play if the medical staff clears him and that Favre says he's okay to play.

Frazier says he'd be surprised if Favre cannot play against the New York Giants on Sunday at noon, pregame on WJON at 11am.

Receiver Percy Harvin is progressing after missing Sunday's game due to a migraine headache.  He was at the Viking facility Monday.

The Vikings also signed backup running back Lorenzo Booker Monday.  Booker is a 5'11 191 pound running back who played in the UFL this season and played in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins.  Booker is expected to be used as a 3rd down back.
