Vikings Claim Adibi; Sign Players To Practice Squad

The Vikings claimed linebacker Xavier Adibi off waivers from the Houston Texans Monday and released tight end Allen Reisner.  Adibi is a 6'2 242 pound linebacker from Stillwater, Oklahoma and Viginia Tech.  He was a 4th round pick by the Houston Texans in 2008.

The Vikings also added receivers Stephen Burton, Emanuel Arceneaux, fullbacks Matt Asiata and Ryan D'Imperio, offensive linemen Thomas Welch and Chris DeGeare, running back Caleb King and defensive lineman Cedric McKinley to the practice squad.

The Vikings begin the 2001 regular season at San Diego Sunday at 3:15pm, pregame on WJON at 2:00.
