The University of Minnesota has announced that Mark Coyle is the lone finalist for their Athletic Director position.  Coyle visited the University yesterday and met with the search committee and with coaches and officials.  Coyle was the AD at Syracuse University this past year after handling the same job at Boise State.  He was also a deputy AD at Kentucky before he went to Boise State.  Boyle served an an associate athletic director for external relations at Minnesota from 2001-2005.

The 47-year old Boyle has apparently earned the position and has reportedly quit his job at Syracuse.  Interim AD Beth Goetz was a candidate for the position as well.
