It may not seem like a big deal to most of the NBA.

In fact, most of the league views this as a move mostly for the Rockets - who are apparently trying to make cap room for a serious run at Dwight Howard.  The Timberwolves, as usual, are basically an afterthought.

But we T' Wolves fans are going to love Chase Budinger!

In case you don't know, the Timberwolves traded the 18th overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft, to the Houston Rockets, for Budinger.

Budinger is a player I am very familiar with, being from the west coast.  He is from La Jolla, California - and played his college ball at Arizona.

He is a fantastic athlete, a very good defender, and a great outside shooter.  He is also a great passer, and a very smart player.  He averages almost 10 points per game, in very limited playing time, so far in his career.  He is ready to bust out.

Of course, the rumors are that the T' Wolves will be very active on draft day, as far as transactions go, so who knows how long Budinger will actually belong to Minnesota.

But if the T' Wolves keep him, which I am hoping they do - at 6'7" - he will be a very nice shooting guard, and probably an immediate starter.

We are going to love this guy - if he remains on the squad........
