The Twins took two out of three games with the Texas Rangers over the weekend in Arlington. Minnesota earned wins on Friday and Sunday but suffered a setback Saturday.

The Twins were nearly no-hit by AL strikeout leader Yu Darvish but eventually rallied for a 3-2 win. Justin Morneau, who would be traded to Pittsburgh less than 24 hours later, hit a tie-breaking home run in the top of the seventh inning to highlight a three-run frame for Minnesota. Chris Hermann had previously broken up the no hitter with a two-run shot off of Darvish.

The Twins fell by a 2-1 final on Saturday night as the offense could not get anything going against former Twin Matt Garza, who pitched seven innings and struck out nine.

In Sunday's matinee Minnesota took a 4-2 decision thanks to a three-run fifth inning against Texas starter Travis Blackeley. Kevin Correia pitched seven solid innings for the Twins, allowing just one run on five hits.
