The Twins march toward 100 losses picked up the pace Thursday with a sweep at the hands of the Tigers at Target Field. Minnesota falls to 55-98 with the losses.

Game one saw the Twins lose 9-2 thanks to a total bullpen meltdown, as pitchers Pat Light and Michael Tonkin combined to record just four outs while allowing six runs on three hits and five walks.

The lone bright spot in game one was Twins second baseman Brian Dozier's 42nd home run of the season.

The offense failed to show up for the second game, which the Twins lost 4-2. Minnesota managed just four hits while striking out 17 times in the loss.

The Twins host the Seattle Mariners at Target Field Friday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. on AM 1240 WJON.
