The Twins begin a 3-game series with Kansas City at Target Field tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Carl Pavano (1-2) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Everett Teaford (0-1) toes the rubber for the Royals.  Minnesota and Kansas City are both 5-14 this season.  The Royals have won 2 games in a row after losing 12 straight.

The Twins had the day off Thursday.  Twins' first baseman Chris Parmelee was re-evaulated Thursday after being hit in the helmet Wednesday night by Red Sox pitcher Justin Thomas.  Parmelee doe not have a concussion and is considered day to day.
