The Minnesota Twins Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Broadcasting, Kevin Smith, says the team has no plans to move Monday's Twins home opener. Smith said he has heard rumors circulating about a possible change due to forecasted cold temperatures.

The temperature in Minneapolis is expected to be in the low 30s with a wind chill in the 20s on Monday afternoon when the Twins take Target Field for the first time in 2013.

The coldest recorded temperature for a Twins home opener was 32 degrees in 1962. The Twins drew just over 8,000 fans to Met Stadium on that chilly afternoon.
