For the last decade we've seen the Twins play baseball at a high level. We've also seen them be fundamentally sound at the plate and in the field. After their most recent debacle in Kansas City, it's clear this team has already lost it's focus. I get the injuries and the flu have taken a toll on the team so far, but it's time to stop sugar coating things. This team is simply no good. Inexplicableerrors in the field on routine plays, balls are rolling across the infield untouched. The pitching staff outside of Duensing and Baker has flopped on a routine basis. The hitting is embarrassing, as we struggle to score three runs a game. After yesterday'outing, Carl Pavano, who was shelled again, took a bat and started slamming it in the dugout. When's the last time you've seen a Twins player do that? Will the Twins get better once all of their injuries are healed up? Ya, it could happen. Do I see this team making a run at the playoffs? In all honesty I don't. We have no shortstop, and the pitching isn't good enough to beat teams with good line ups. It's a good thing we have a lot of trade options so we can go out and get some middle infield help. Oh my bad, no we don't. Good thing we don't have all of our money tied up in two guys so we could add solid free agents in the off season. Oops, wrong again.  I think that we are going to have a second coming of the Kevin Garnett Timberwolves years. Too much vested in one guy, and it hurts the organization as a whole.
