The Minnesota Twins are bringing a familiar face back to the organization. Former outfielder Jason Kubel signed a minor league contract Friday that includes an invitation to Major League Spring Training.

Kubel left the Twins following the 2011 season after expressing some frustration with Target Field, particularly the tall wall in the right field power alley.

He had a great season with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2012, slugging 30 home runs and knocking in 90 runs. However, he fell off badly in 2013 and was released by the Diamondbacks late in the season.
