NEW YORK - The Minnesota Twins ambushed New York with six runs in the ninth and took down the Yankees 7-2.

The Twins have now won two series in a row at Yankee Stadium.

Former Yankee Phil Hughes led the Twins with eight brilliant innings, allowing two runs off of only three hits.

The Twins trailed 2-1 in the ninth but quickly tied things up with a Josh Willingham home run. Brian Dozier then hit a two-out RBI double for a 3-2 lead.

Another former Yankee, Eduardo Nunez, hit a two-run double to make it 5-2. Oswaldo Arcia would drive in two more before the end of the inning.

The Twins are now 26-28 overall. They'll travel to face the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night at 6:20 p.m. (5:50 pregame on AM 1240 WJON).
