Twins Rally Late, Win In Extras

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins closed a two-run deficit late in the game before winning on a walk-off hit in extra innings - beating the Indians 5-4.

Twins ace Phil Hughes had a somewhat rocky start, allowing four runs on ten hits in seven innings.

The Twins' offensive output was entirely provided by two solo home runs by young sluggers Oswaldo Arcia and Kennys Vargas in the third and fourth innings, respectively.

The Twins trailed 4-3 in the bottom of the ninth before rallying to tie the game on an Aaron Hicks RBI Fielder's Choice groundout.

The Twins loaded the bases in the bottom of the tenth inning with one out before Trevor Plouffe lined a game-winning RBI single to center field.

With the win, the Twins improve to 66-87 on the season and send rookie Trevor May to the mound tonight for a 7:00 p.m. start against the Indians.
