The Twins held off Baltimore 3-1 to earn a split in the 4-game series.  Minnesota got a great pitching performance from Scott Baker.  He threw 7 shutout innings with 4 hits allowed to get the win and improve to 1-2 on the season.  Both Jim Thome and Michael Cuddyer hit solo homeruns and Thome added an RBI single.  Both Thome and Denard Span had 2 hits for the Twins.  Minnesota improves to 7-12 and will host Cleveland beginning a 3-game series at Target Field tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Lefthander Brian Duensing (1-0) get the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Fausto Carmona (1-2) toes the rubber for the Indians.
