Twins Down Phillies 7-3; Blackburn Shines

The Twins downed the Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 Thursday afternoon in Clearwater, Florida.  Nick Blackburn threw 6 shutout innings with 6 hits allowed and 5 strikeouts.  Joe Nathan threw just 1 inning and allowed 3 hits and 3 earned runs for Minnesota.  Delmon Young went 2-3 with a homerun and 3 RBIs, Danny Valencia went 1-3 with 2 RBIs and Luke Hughes hit his 6th homerun this spring for the Twins.  Minnesota is 15-11 this spring and will play Baltimore in Fort Myers, Florida today at 12:05, pregame on WJON at 12:00.
