The Atlanta Braves jumped all over Twins starter Vance Worley Wednesday afternoon in an 8-3 win at Turner Field.

Worley allowed eight runs on ten hits, including three home runs, in just 3.2 innings of work. For his efforts, he was shipped to AAA immediately after the game.

Worley allowed a run in the first inning and wriggled his way out of allowing more runs when the Braves had a runner cut down at the plate by left fielder Josh Willingham.

Atlanta scored a pair of runs in the third inning to take a 3-0 lead. Ramiro Pena hit a solo home run off of Worley, followed by an RBI single from Chris Johnson.

Atlanta broke the game open in the fourth inning on a solo home run from BJ Upton and a grand slam from Evan Gattis that made the score 8-0.

Aaron Hicks and Oswaldo Arcia had solo home runs for Minnesota to highlight another otherwise lackluster day at the plate.

The Twins get no break as the look to snap their eight game losing streak Thursday night at Detroit.
