1987: Apollo baseball tops Rocori 8-3 (8 inn) in the South Sub-Region 8AA title game.

1989: #1 seed Sauk Rapids edged #4 seed St. John's Prep 2-1 in the District 19 baseball semis at Cold Spring Ballpark. Dave Furcht pitched well for SJP, allowing just two hits and no walks through six innings. However, Furcht walked Mike Moilenen and Greg Bemboom to lead off the seventh and made a throwing error that allowed the winning run to score.

#3 seed Albany beat defending state champion Cathedral 12-7 that day as well, with the Huskies' Fred Mackedanz smacking a three-run home run in the first inning.

1990: Apollo softball tops the Moorhead Spuds 6-5 in eight innings at Whitney Park in the semifinal round of the Region 8AA tournament. Lori Rooney scored the winning run for the Eagles in the eighth.

Also at Whitney that day, Alexandria topped Tech 4-2. The Tigers finished the season with an 11-11 record.

Cathedral baseball fell to #8 seeded Becker 14-9 in the semis of the District 19A tourney at Dick Putz Field.

1991- St. Cloud Apollo wins the Central Lakes Conference Golf Championship. Senior Jeff Proctor won the individual conference championship. The title was the first for the Eagles since the CLC shifted to its current format in 1976.

Moorhead tops Tech 6-5 in the deciding game of the Region 8AA softball tournament at Whitney Park.

1992- Little Falls beat Sauk Rapids 3-1 in the South Sub-Section 8AA baseball tourney at Dick Putz Field. Jason Dobis got the win for the Flyers with a complete game five-hitter.
