The Minnesota Timberwolves topped the Los Angeles Lakers 109-99 in an ugly affair at Target Center Tuesday night. The Wolves are now 24-24 on the season.

Kevin Love led the Timberwolves with 31 points and 17 rebounds, and also appeared to be okay after taking a nasty fall on his hip late in the game.

Kevin Martin also had a big game for Minnesota, charting 32 points to tie his season-high. Martin scored 14 points in the first quarter to help the Wolves build a big lead that Los Angeles never fully overcame.

The Timberwolves remain in tenth place in the Western Conference, 3.5 games behind the Dallas Mavericks for eighth place.
