The Timberwolves have confirmed an agreement with Rick Adelman to become their new head coach.   Adelman was chosen over finalist Don Nelson for the job.  Adelman is a 65-year old veteran head coach of 20 NBA seasons.  He has a record of 945 wins and 616 loses.  Adelman has coached at Portland, Golden State, Sacramento and most recently Houston.

Timberwolves forward Kevin Love is a former teammate of Adelman's son when both were living in Oregon.  Love told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that Adelman is a great head coach.  Adelman replaces Kurt Rambis who was fired after just 2 seasons with the Wolves and a combined 32 wins.
