Timberwolves Lose to Clippers in L.A.
The Timberwolves lost 101-95 in Los Angeles to the Clippers Wednesday night. Chris Paul led the Clippers with 23 points. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 19 points and 12 rebounds, Alexey Shved added 17 points and Nikola Pekovic chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Andrei Kirilenko did not play due to back spasms. It's unclear how long he'll be out. Minnesota shot 38 percent while L.A. shot 46 percent. The Wolves committed 18 turnovers but out-rebounded the Clippers 52-35. The Wolves host Milwaukee at 7pm Friday, pregame on WJON at 6:30.
Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio has been cleared by his doctor in Vail, Colorado to practice fully with the Wolves starting immediately. It's unclear how long Rubio will be out but he's expected back in mid-December. Rubio is coming back from a torn ACL in his left knee sustained March 9 in a game against the Lakers at Target Center.
