ESPN.com is reporting that the Timberwolves are working on a 5-year contract with Tom Thibodeau to become their new head coach.  Yahoo sports is reporting as part of the negotiations that San Antonio Spurs General Manager Scott Layden would become the team's GM.

Thibodeau started his NBA coaching career as an assistant with the Timberwolves from 1989 - 1991.  He was the head coach of the Chicago Bulls from 2010-2015.  He has also served as an assistant with the Spurs, 76ers, Knicks, Celtics and Rockets.
