Tech Takes 5th, Sartell 3rd at State Dance Championship on Friday Night

MINNEAPOLIS - Several local dance teams competed at the State Dance Team Tournament jazz and funk division on Friday night.

Sartell took third place in Class AA and St. Cloud Tech placed fifth in class AAA for the jazz/funk division state championships at the Target Center.

Eastview of Apple Valley took first place, Wayzata second, Maple Grove third and Chaska was forth for class AAA.

Teams from St. Cloud Cathedral and Sauk Rapids-Rice also competed in class AA during the competition.

The high kick portion of the competition will continue on Saturday with Class A qualifying at 11:30 a.m.
