The talk of recession in the United States has been going on for months. St. Cloud State Dean, School of Public Affairs and Economic Professor King Banaian joined me on WJON. He says we may be in a recession now and if not now, soon.

The school year is underway and St. Cloud State's President Dr. Robbyn Wacker is excited about the feeling around campus right now. She says the campus has a much different feel this year as opposed to the last couple of years due to adjustments made for the pandemic.

After a three-year hiatus, the 56th annual Juried Student Art Exhibition has returned to St. Cloud State University.

The St. Cloud State University wrestling team came up short in their bid to defend their title.

St. Cloud State University President Dr. Robbyn Wacker joined me on WJON today. She says they have 5 reported COVID-19 positive cases on their most recent dashboard. She says they have a mask mandate, people are wearing masks on campus and in the classroom.

St. Cloud State University has reached 99 percent of it's fundraising goal for their Unleash the Future campaign.

Colleges and Universities have stepped up their aggressiveness in pursuing students over the past few years. St. Cloud State University President Dr. Robbyn Wacker joined me on WJON today. She says many schools are dealing with reduced enrollment but this hasn't caused them to lower their standards.

It's a big week for college admissions staff as MEA approaches.

The Minnesota Wild kept the momentum going in LA with a win over the Kings, the Granite City Lumberjacks, Johnnies, and NDSU Bison posted dominant shutout wins, the Golden Gopher football team came out on top against Nebraska, and the SCSU men's hockey team came up short in their homecoming matchup against the University of Minnesota on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings are heading to North Carolina to face the Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

The Biden Administration announced Wednesday that they are making changes to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
