St. John's senior kicker Jimmie Mattson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin is the MIAC football special teams player of the week. He was 3-3 on field goals and made his lone extra point try in St. John's 27-22 loss at Bethel Saturday. Mattson made a season best 49-yard field to tie the game at 3 in the first half. St. John's finished their season with a 5-5 overall record.
SCSU Wrestling Ranked #2; Honor for St. Ben’s Volleyball
The St. Cloud State wrestling team is ranked #2 in the first Division II Wrestling Coaches Association poll. The Huskies were runner-up for 2 consecutive seasons at Division II and finished the 2011-2012 season with a perfect 21-0 dual meet record. The SCSU wrestling team returns 4 NCAA All-Americans, Andy Pokorny, Jake Kahnke, Shamus O'Grady, and Jacob D. Horn.
SCSU Wrestling Wins Super Region #3
The St. Cloud State wrestling team won the NCAA Division II Super Region 3 tournament in St. Cloud Sunday. SCSU finished with 164 points with Upper Iowa 2nd with 155.5 points. St. Cloud State's Tad Merritt at 165 pounds won the individual title at 165 pounds and was chosen as the most valuable wrestler at the tournament.
#1 SCSU Wrestling Wins Again
The top ranked St. Cloud State wrestling team won 28-12 over the University of Mary Sunday. SCSU is 13-0 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC The St. Cloud State women's nordic skiing team finished 8th in Coleraine, Minnesota Sunday.
SCSU’s Sundgren Gets NSIC Honor
St. Cloud State senior John Sundgren is the NSIC Wrestler of the year. He went 16-3 on the season and won the NCAA Division II National Championship at 157 pounds. SCSU head coach Steve Costanzo was also named the 2010-2011 NSIC Coach of the Year.

SCSU Wrestling Finishes 2nd, Hockey Season Over
The St. Cloud State wrestling team earned 2nd place in the NCAA Division II meet in Kearney, Nebraska. The tournament finished Saturday. The SCSU men's hockey team lost 4-2 and 3-2 in triple-overtime to Minnesota-Duluth in the first round of the WCHA tournament over the weekend.
