The St. Ben's basketball team defeated Hamline 87-72 to win their MIAC Opener Wednesday night. Morgan Dale led the Blazers with 17 points, Whitney Canton added 15 points and Hannah Hylla added 11 points for St. Ben's.
The St. Ben's basketball team lost 78-61 Monday night at UW-River Falls. Brianna Barrett led the Blazers with 16 points and Hannah Hylla added 12 points. St. Ben's committed 22 turnovers and St. Ben's shot 43 percent from the field.
The St. Ben's basketball team downed Macalester 60-48 Wednesday night. St. Ben's shot 41 percent and committed 11 turnovers compared to 32 percent shooting and 18 turnovers for Macalester. Brianna Barrett led the Blazers with 13 points and Elena Koch added 10 points.
The St. Ben's basketball team won 83-59 at St. Catherine Monday night in St. Paul. St. Ben's has won back to back road games and is 10-9 overall and 7-9 in the MIAC. Sam Larsen led the Blazers with 12 points and both Whitney Canton and Tish Alexander scored 11 points for St. Ben's. The Blazers shot 44 percent while St. Kate's shot 30 percent.
The St. Ben's basketball gave up a 6-point halftime lead and lost at home to St. Mary's 55-50 Wednesday night in St. Joseph. Sam Larsen led the Blazers with 15 points and Whitney Canton added 14 points. St. Ben's shot 40 percent from the field while St. Mary's shot 45 percent.
The St. Ben's basketball team defeated Augsburg 70-60 in Minneapolis Wednesday night. Cassie Dorschner led the Blazers with 20 points and Whitney Canton added 15 for St. Ben's. The Blazers shot 54 percent from the field while Augsburg shot 33 percent. St. Ben's trailed by 5 at halftime and had lost 3 straight games heading into last night's game.
The St. Ben's basketball team lost to Macalester in St. Paul 71-56 Monday night. Beka Schwendemann had 11 points to lead the Blazers. St. Ben's committed 21 turnovers, shot 38 percent from the field and was outrebounded 42-35.
St. Ben's lost 84-75 at home against Gustavus Wednesday night. The Blazers cut a 16-point deficit to 4 points with under 2 minutes left but would get no closer. Sam Larsen led St. Ben's with 22 points and 10 rebounds and Tish Alexander added 15 points. St. Ben's committed 23 turnovers compared to 12 turnovers for the Gusties.
The St. John's Basketball team won their 6th game in a row Saturday 78-71 at Hamline. Seth Marx led the Johnnies with 20 points and Aaron Barmore added 17. St. John's improves to 8-3 overall and 4-2 in the MIAC. St. John's will play at Gustavus Wednesday at 7:30pm.
