Seimone Augustus

The Minnesota Lynx defeated Phoenix 106-98 Wednesday afternoon in Phoenix to improve to 10-4 and move into first place in the Western Conference Standings. The Lynx shot 56 percent from the field and were led by Seimone Augustus with 25 points and Lindsay Whalen added 16 points and 8 assists. Diana Taurasi led Phoenix with 24 points.

The Minnesota Lynx will have 4 players on the Western Conference All Star team this season. Three Lynx players were chosen as Western Conference reserves yesterday. The three are point guard Lindsay Whalen, shooting guard Seimone Augustus, and forward Rebekkah Brunson. They join Maya Moore as All Stars. Moore will start for the Western Conference.

The Phoenix Mercury beat the Lynx 112-105 Wednesday afternoon at Target Center. Seimone Augustus led the Lynx with 22 points, Lindsay Whalen added 19 points and 6 assists and Rebekkah Brunson chipped in 16 points and 16 rebounds for Minnesota. The Lynx led the game late but couldn't hold onto it down the stretch. Minnesota is 7-4 and will play at Indiana Friday night at 6pm.

The Minnesota Lynx defeated Atlanta 77-64 Sunday to earn their 5th straight win. Seimone Augustus led the Lynx with 19 points, Lindsay Whalen added 13 points and 5 assists and Maya Moore had 12 points and 8 rebounds for Minnesota. The Lynx are 5-1 and will play at Seattle at 9pm Friday.
