SCSU Baseball Falls in NCAA Opener
Top seeded St. Cloud State Baseball lost 10-4 to 6th seeded Henderson State in the first round of the NCAA Division II tournament at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud Friday. Henderson State scored 2 runs in the 1st inning, 3 in the 5th and 5 in the 8th inning.

St. Cloud State third baseman Jordan Smith was drafted in the 9th round (278th overall) by the Cleveland Indians in the Major League baseball entry level draft. Smith was hoping to be drafted by the Minnesota Twins but is happy to be picked by Cleveland.

The St. Cloud State baseball team has gone from being middle to bottom of the pack in the conference standings to a powerhouse in Division II. Head Coach Pat Dolan is in his 4th season at SCSU and the Huskies may be the #1 seed in Central Region when the pairings are announced this weekend.
