If you follow professional sports even a little bit, you have heard the name Roger Goodell. The NFL commissioner has been hailed as both a hero and a villain for the sport.

The NFL owners voted 31-0 Thursday to approve their own proposal for a new collective bargaining agreement to end the 4-month old NFL lockout. The players still haven't approved the deal but may vote on it today. NFL Players Association head DeMaurice Smith told the players that there is no agreement between the owners and players and some issues still remain unresolved.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is meeting with Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton today to discuss the NFL contributing to the cost of a Viking Stadium. The Vikings have come to an agreement with Ramsey County as a local partner to help build a $1.1 Billion dollar stadium in Arden Hills.
