Vikings’ Walsh Gets Honor; Ponder Gets Married
Viking kicker Blair Walsh was named the NFC special teams player of the week this week. He was 5-5 on field goals including 3 field goals of 50 yards or more. He had 18 points in the Viking 36-22 win at St. Louis Sunday. Walsh is 8-8 on field goals of 50 yards or more this season.
Vikings Beat Bears 21-14
The Vikings won 21-14 at home against the Chicago Bears Sunday. Minnesota went out to a 14-0 lead and led 14-7 at halftime. The Vikings got a 56-yard interception return touchdown from Harrison Smith in the 2nd half that helped secure the win.
Vikings Host Bears Facing Must-Win
The Vikings host the Chicago Bears Sunday at noon, pregame on WJON at 11am. Minnesota is 6-6 while Chicago is 8-4. The Vikings are 1 game back of Seattle and 2 games back of Chicago for the NFC Wildcard spots.
Vikings’ Harvin Placed On IR; Out for the Year
Viking receiver Percy Harvin is out for the season after being placed on injured reserve with a severely sprained ankle. It was reported earlier this week that Harvin has a torn ligament in his left ankle. Harvin hurt the ankle when the Vikings lost at Seattle on November 4.
Packers Beat Vikings 23-14
The Vikings led 14-10 at halftime but lost in Green Bay 23-14 to fall to 6-6. Adrian Peterson ran for 210 yards on 21 carries including an 82-yard touchdown run for the Vikings.
