The Twins were swept in Arizona over the weekend and are now 15-30 and 14 1/2 games back of Cleveland for first place in the American League Central. The bullpen blew leads for the Twins on Friday and Saturday and Alex Burnett gave up a run Sunday that caused him to take the loss.

The Twins lost 9-7 to Detroit at home Wednesday to get swept in the 2-game series. Brandon Inge tripled in the go-ahead run in 9th inning off Matt Capps to propell the Tigers to the win. The Twins came from behind to take the lead only to give it up.

The Twins avoided salary arbitration with relief pitchers Matt Capps and Glen Perkins. Capps agrees to a 1-year deal worth $7.15 Million and Perkins agrees to a 1-year deal worth $700,000.
