The Twins beat the White Sox 1-0 Tuesday night behind Francisco Liriano's no-hitter. Liriano threw his first no-hitter in his career in his first complete game in his career. He walked 6 and threw 123 pitches. Liriano struckout 2 and gets the win to improve to 2-4. Danny Valencia took a hit away from Carlos Quentin in the 7th inning and a back handed play behind the 3rd base bag to preserve the no-hitter.
Liriano Could Be Pitching For His Job Tonight
Twins' lefthander Francisco Liriano may need a solid start tonight when the Twins play at Chicago to maintain his spot in the starting rotation. Kevin Slowey threw 5 2/3 innings of shutout baseball in a minor league rehab start Monday night. He could return as a starter or reliever this week.

The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Twins 8-2 Wednesday night in the snow and cold weather to end a 3-game win streak for Minnesota. Tampa Bay scored 4 runs in the first inning and added 3 more in the 4th. Francisco Liriano threw 3 innings with 6 hits and 7 earned runs allowed to take the loss and drop to 1-4. Liriano's ERA swells to 9.13.
Twins To Play Day/Night Doubleheader Thursday
The Twins had their game with Tampa Bay rained out Tuesday night and will make up for it with a day/night doubleheader Thursday. The Twins are replacing making up Tuesday's game by adding a 7:10pm game Thursday. The Twins will play the regularly scheduled game at 12:10 Thursday.
