The Star Tribune is reporting that the Twins are calling up outfielder Darin Mastroianni and catcher Juan Centeno from triple-A Rochester. Mastroianni is batting .208 with 6 stolen bases and Centeno is batting .245 with 1 homerun and 5 RBIs at triple-A Rochester.

The Twins defeated Detroit 9-3 Monday night to end their 4-game losing streak. Darin Mastroianni went 3-5 with a homerun and 3 RBIs, Ryan Doumit was 3-4 with 2 runs scored including a 3-run homerun and both Joe Mauer and Jamey Carroll added 3 hits apiece. Sam Deduno threw 7 innings with 5 hits and 3 earned runs allowed to get the win and improve to 4-0.

The Twins lost 12-5 at home to the Chicago White Sox Wednesday night. Nick Blackburn allowed 9 hits and 6 earned runs in 5 innings to take the loss and drop to 4-5. Jeff Manship allowed 3 earned runs in 1 inning. He was optioned to triple-A Rochester after the game. His ERA is 10.97. Darin Mastroianni hit a 2-run homerun and Brian Dozier went 1-3 with a solo homerun and 2 RBIs for Minnesota. Adam Dunn hit a 3-run homerun for the White Sox.
