Mazeroski was on the Pirates’ teams that won both the 1960 and 1971 World Series. He hit the game-winning home run off Ralph Terry of the New York Yankees in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series. A peerless fielder, Mazeroski won eight Gold Glove Awards. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.
