The Vikings scored the first points of the game but lose 28-10 Sunday in Chicago. Minnesota trailed 25-3 at halftime and couldn't catch up in the 2nd half. Jay Cutler coming back from a concussion threw for 188 yards and 1 touchdown with 1 interception for the Bears. Michael Bush ran for 60 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Bears.
Vikings Peterson Has Charges Dropped
Viking running back Adrian Peterson had misdemeanor resisting arrest charges dropped Tuesday stemming from an incident at the Houston Night Club on July 7. Peterson allegedly refused to leave the night club when originally asked and became combative with staff. Peterson was scheduled for a court appeared in Texas on Thursday.
Vikings Top Lions 34-24 to Complete Season Sweep
The Vikings defeated the Detroit Lions 34-24 at home Sunday to sweep the season series against Detroit and improve to 6-4 while dropping Detroit to 4-5. Minnesota led 13-3 at halftime and held on in the 2nd half. Adrian Peterson ran for 171 yards on 27 carries and 1 touchdown plus he scored on a 2-point conversion. Kyle Rudolph was th top receiver for Minnesota with 7 catches for 64 yards and 1 touchdown for Minnesota.
Peterson, Harvin and Guion Miss Practice For Vikings
The Vikings practice without start players running back Adrian Peterson and receiver Percy Harvin Thursday. Defensive tackle Letroy Guion (turf toe) also missed practice for the Vikings Thursday. Peterson sat out because of an illness but is expected to play Sunday against Detroit. Harvin missed a 2nd straight day of practice with an ankle sprain. Harvin was spotted in the locker room limping badly.
Seahawks Outscore Vikings 30-20
The Vikings lost 30-20 at Seattle Sunday afternoon. Adrian Peterson kept the Vikings in the game by rushing for 182 yards on 17 carries and 2 touchdowns but Christian Ponder's struggled throughout the game completing just 11-22 for 64 yards and 1 interception. Percy Harvin had just 2 catches for 10 yards and ran 24 yards but had 1 fumble.
Bucs Shock Vikings 36-17
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Vikings 36-17 Thursday night to drop Minnesota to 5-3 on the season. Tampa Bay went out to a 20-10 lead at halftime and went up 27-10 on a 64-yard touchdown pass from Josh Freeman to Doug Martin early in the 2nd half. Martin rolled up 214 yards of total offense and 2 touchdowns and Freeman threw for 262 yards and 3 touchdowns for Tampa Bay.
Vikings Host Tampa Bay In Thursday Night Football
The Vikings put their 5-2 record on the line when they host Tampa Bay at 7:20 tonight, pregame on WJON at 6:00. The Buccaneers are 2-4 and are coming off a loss at home against New Orleans. Minnesota won at home against Arizona 21-14 on Sunday. Minnesota is relatively healthy for tonight's game with just 2 players not expected to play because of injury.
Peterson and Carlson Miss Practice For the Vikings
The Vikings had a few players miss practice Tuesday in preparation for their game Thursday night at home against Tampa Bay. Tight end John Carlson (concussion) and running back Adrian Peterson (ankle) missed practice. Carlson isn't expected to play Thursday night while Peterson sat for precautionary reasons.

The Vikings won 21-14 at home against Arizona Sunday afternoon to improve to 5-2. Adrian Peterson ran for 153 yards on 23 carries and 1 touchdown. Peterson tied Robert Smith with his 29th career 100-yard rushing game. Percy Harvin had 2 carries for 10 yards and 3 catches for 37 yards and 1 touchdown. Christian Ponder was 8-17 passing for 58 yards and 1 touchdown with 2 interceptions for Minnesota. Harrison Smith capped the Viking scoring with a 31-yard interception return touchdown.
Vikes’ Peterson, Allen Held Out of Practice
The Vikings have given running back Adrian Peterson and defensive end Jared Allen a break this week. Both missed practice Thursday for precautionary reasons. Peterson has a sprained left ankle and Allen has been bothered by a groin injury. Both are expected to play Sunday when the Vikings host Arizona at noon, pregame on WJON at 11am.
