T-Wolves’ Roy to Have Knee Surgery; Rubio Recovering
Timberwolves shooting guard Brandon Roy is having arthroscopic knee surgery on his right knee. Roy has had chronic knee problems that caused him to retire after the 2010-2011 season but decided to come out of retirement and join the Timberwolves. Roy has played in just 5 games this season and has averaged 5.8 points a game.
The timetable for the return of Roy will be determined after the surgery. Point Guard Ricky Rubio is doing some 5 on none practicing with the Timberwolves this week but the timetable for his return is still mid-December at the earliest. Rubio is coming back from a torn ACL in his knee.
Kevin Love is working out the Wolves as well and projects to return in early December from broken bones in his hand.
