ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Rox are off to a perfect 4-0 start this season after a 5-4 walk-off win against the Willmar Stingers during their home opener.

Kyle Thornell hit the walk-off single in the bottom of the 12th inning to score Harrison Wenson.

Rox starter Nick McCarty went five innings and allowed two runs off of seven hits while striking out four. Trevor Charpie, Ben Lumsden and Kevin Burgee threw the final seven innings for the Rox, allowing just one run in the process.

An estimated crowd of 2,427 attended the home opener at Joe Faber Field. Minnesota Twins World Series hero Gene Larkin threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The Rox will host the Stingers again at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday. You can hear all the action on AM1390 The Fan with pregame at 5:35 p.m.
