The Cold Spring Springers earned a 3-0 shutout win over the Moorhead Brewers Saturday in their first State Tournament game in Howard Lake. Zach Femrite dominated the Brewers with a complete game shutout.

Femrite allowed only four hits and struck out 12 without allowing a walk, although he did plunk a pair of Brewer batters.

Joe Dempsey paced the Cold Spring offense by going 2-5 with a run and a RBI. Second baseman Garret Fuchs had the other RBI for the Springers.

Cold Spring will play against Eagan at 5:00 pm Sunday in Howard Lake.
